Getting Started
If you are new to CrossFit, you can immediately begin taking our CrossFit Cardio classes which are suitable for all fitness levels.
If you have not done CrossFit before and are interested in taking our traditional CrossFit classes, you will need to complete CrossFit Elements.
CrossFit Elements is designed to familiarize you with the more technical skills and weightlifting movements that you will find in traditional CrossFit classes. CrossFit Elements is not a workout, but instead a clinic-style environment that focuses on teaching and improving form and technique among the foundational movements of CrossFit.
CrossFit Elements is divided into 3 clinics that are grouped by similar movements. You can take the clinics in any order that is convenient for you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do you offer Elements classes?
The CrossFit classes don’t always have weightlifting in them, but when they do we want our athletes to be comfortable with these movements. CrossFit can be intimidating enough the first time, and we don’t believe in throwing people in a class and letting them just “figure it out.” It’s not safe, and it’s a bad first impression of CrossFit.
After Elements, our athletes will have a solid foundational knowledge when they come across these movements in a class for the first time. We want our athletes to go into a CrossFit class confident in knowing how to lift safely and effectively.
I’m in good shape and naturally athletic. Do I have to take the Elements class?
Yes. Athleticism has nothing to do with it. In Elements you will be learning skills and technique. It’s like saying “I’m smart, so therefore I already know molecular biology without taking a class on it.” Unless you have a background in powerlifting, it’s something you will have to learn.
If I’ve done CrossFit before do I have to take the Elements classes?
If someone has been doing CrossFit regularly for at least a few months, then they’re probably knowledgeable enough with the lifting movements to go straight into a CrossFit class. However, they shouldn’t try to fake their way through a class feigning CrossFit experience. They ultimately risk injuring themselves and slowing down the class by requiring extra attention. It’s not fair to our other athletes, and our coaches will quickly discover someone’s true experience level and ask that they not return to a CrossFit class until they’ve completed Elements.
How much are the Elements classes?
Elements is free to members and those with class packages. They do not count against your classes. You can take Elements classes as many times as you want to hone your lifting skills.
9pm class is difficult for me to attend. Do you have any other Elements class times?
We offer a Saturday Elements class about once a month where we conduct all 3 Elements classes back-to-back. We post the date at least a week in advance on both our website and our facebook page. You can also get one-on-one support by purchasing personal training sessions which will allow you to set up a time that is most convenient for you.
